New 1TB PS4 Console leaked

ds.jpg

According to the FCC, Sony have registered documents for 2 new PS4 models.
The new models will be numbered: CUH-1215A and CUH-1215B and there will be no difference in the form factor compared to the current PS4 model.

Here's DualShockers with the changes:
"First of all, we learn that the two variants of the new model differ in hard disk drive size: the CUH-1215A variant includes a 500 gigabytes hard disk, while the CUH-1215B variant includes a bigger one terabyte hard disk drive.
A second rather evident change is in the power source. The new models’s power unit generates 230 W, while the old model was rated 250 W. The amperage also changed from 2.5-1.15 A to 2.3-0.95 A. The voltage range and frequency remained the same.
A final difference between the CUH-11XX model and the CUH-12XX model is the weight: the old model weighs approximately 2.8 Kg, while the new one weighs 2.5 Kg. On the other hand, the size of the two models is the same."

is it not cheaper to buy the smallest version and buy the larger hd yourself and put it in?
that was the case with the super slim ps3 i think, the 12gb was cheaper, even if you bought a 500gb hd, than the 500gb model --- i think..... :)

It depends, in Brazil if you wanted a 500gb super slim PS3, it was cheaper to buy the 500gb model - also while the 12gb was leaked through Anatel, a Brazilian homologation entity like the FCC, it was rare to find here.
And other thing, to put a HDD on the 12gb model you need to buy the PS3 super slim HDD tray, it wasn't being sold here, who wanted it had to import.

It's pretty nice for all the later adopters that are going to need more space for all the games and such, but thankfully Sony made it fool proof to throw in your own HDD to upgrade so meh. If I wanted 1TB I'd just chuck a 1TB HDD in my current model :P
