I have tested another game, Tales of Destiny (Director's Cut) translated for PS2, runs 30fps mostly (without lossless frame generation) but stutters on menus/save screens (10-15fps) and heavy scenes. Videos obviously stutter but mostly playable at 25-30fps.

I'm playing SD Gundam, a game that switches between 30fps and 60fps. When I use LGFG, the gameplay is very smooth at 30fps.However, when the game switches to 60fps, it actually drops to 30fps and the action slows down. Is there a way to fix this?

Try to use frame rate control to 30Hz

When adjusting the NTSC frame rate to 30Hz, the G automatically switches to 15fps and the V to 30fps; the video feed slows down even before LGFS is enabled.
Yeah some games doesn't work well and still get slow down, i don't think you can do much

what the extention file for exmaple cue&bin or what? The best use for NetherSX2 have you tested? Thank you
.CHD is the best format to use, but doesn't matter much

I don't think heavy 3D games will be playable - but the above kinda addresses a lot of Switch shortcomings for me, MvC2 / KOF 02 UM / CvSNK2 - I can remove the heavy Capcom collections (about 3-4 gb each) from my SD card, since I already have retroarch, I don't need any of those. Plus the Gzip compressed copies of CvSNK2 is about 200MB! Same for MvC2 - 200MB+. Compare that with an actual Switch port of 3-5GB each. Certainly worth considering replacing if you're only offline like me.
And in my opinion console ports are better because of all the additional content they usually have over the arcade versions featured in these official compilations

Yeah they have artwork and other side content... but what fails in my view is they seem to be arcade ports... you see things like credits etc.

I kinda prefer older games to be emulated because they occupy lower storage. Plus I do not want to spend on those useless ps2 devices...

I realize my phrasing was unclear, by console ports I meant original console ports contemporary of the original arcade releases, these ones always added extra content like additional game modes or characters. I just meant that's another reason why older games are superior to the arcade ports compilations released more recently

What lossless version work?mine frame stuck everytime i enable the frame generation.
I can confirm that mine is at 3 - and images hang.

I think it will fix minor stuttering or beautify frames... it won't make things 'more' compatible unless these games actually work Ok... no point with lossless... Switch is just inherently weak. Plus what do you expect Naga to do, tweak Aethersx/Nethersx code? He can't do any optimizations as these are reverse engineered apk with JADX (probably)... which means that they will basically get a dump of your app if the actual Android template was insecure (you need to compile Android versions yourself with keys if you want to encrypt them, since Aethersx2 author has not done that, files are in the public domain, at least those that were not obfuscated - or not pre-compiled references, I feel he may have also done some wrapper which no one has access to).

Long story short, APKs are basically zip/txt files renamed, a lot of the other files are essentially renamed unecrypted zip files, if Tahlreth had compiled something from the original PCSX2 code he borrowed, maybe a library - but if had compiled it, chances are you might not be able to access those. Exact nature of the problem is different as no one is actually compiling the original AetherSx2, it was not open source as it should have been... the author experienced a burnout and was abused badly by some morons ruining the emulation scene (you can't expect all authors to be large hearted purists to release their code on git). Ended up trying earn some money to pay his bills... I see nothing wrong with this turn, the Chinese device makers have made a fortune out of his code (which he probably got from the PCSX2 team).

I don't know the actual architecture of NetherSX2 as a port or a recompiled zip/apk... but from what I do know, lossless won't work magic as the hardware is pretty limited. We might need to tweak the code itself... just my 2 cent's worth from what I can see (just busy with too many things) - just today I have started to refactor another mobile app - need to complete it by month end.

The fact that I have KOF02UM working just makes me sooooo happy. Haha. It's perfect, KOF arranged music - I still remember, I used to actually study for exams with KOF94-95/Real Bout/FF Special arranged music in those days - popped in my game CD one day by accident and was positively surprised to find that the second track onwards were all these beautiful arranged tracks for the PS1 games... from there, these have been my study companions!

Cool memories...

A working version of the lossless DLL was shared on page 7. Frame generation isn't going to make a positive difference though. People fail to realize the purpose of frame generation. Frame generation is not meant for weak hardware & low base frame rate games. It only makes video playback smoother, not actual gameplay. Frame generation is for higher end hardware already capable of higher frame rates, so that hardware can take advantage of higher frame rate monitors.

Frame gen is decent in slower paced titles, like silent hill 2 despite the FPS not being as high as desired without OCing.
Like RPGs or other titles would benefit but input latency will suffer, it also adds slight load to CPU which is already strained with Ps2.

The main bottleneck will always be CPU, so you get biggest benefit from OCing it. No amount of frame gen can fix that
