Homebrew NES VCS injection - successful, but SMB3 refuses to start

Hi all. I was wondering if someone can give me a tip for getting SMB3 to work using NES VCS injection.

It's listed as being compatible and I've successfully injected a ton of other games (just recently NES games too), so I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm using the verified US dumps, tried both PRG0 and PRG1, but they both just display a black screen forever.

I'm using Ultimate NES VC Injector for 3DS 1.2. It uses the regular NES VCS emulator made by Nintendo.

Any tips? Maybe there's a different injector I could use?

(Note, I'm using an old 3DS, so I'm limited in the emulator type I can use.)

NSUI beta 27, VirtuaNES, RetroArch (FCEUmm, Nestopia, QuickNES), and TWiLight Menu++ (nesDS).

Thank you, injecting using NSUI instead of Ultimate worked! Even with the regular Nintendo VC injects. I'll be using that one from now on.
