I'm looking for an emulator to run NES Elite as released in Europe, since it was never released in North America. I've tried Retroarch's, QuickNES and FCEUMM have timing issues caused by the attempt to run the rom as NTSC and Nestopia (A.K.A Mednaffen) crashes on loading the ROM. The unused (as best I could tell) NesDS embedded in Twilight Menu is the only emulator I've found that can run the ROM correctly, but I get framerate drops and other trouble. Are there any other emulators for NES on 3DS/DS out there with PAL support?

Have you tried bubbles VirtuaNes https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-virtuanes-for-3ds.465461/page-21#post-7885669 ? It seems to be running the game fine for me, other than not knowing exactly what it says. It dont seem to be lagging, and ive seen nothing else wrong.

The Retroid Pocket 2+ is great value for money, $99, it's still in the "budget" range somewhat but it has a nice large screen and can run a whole lot of platforms.
