I can confirm R8 beta 12 launches New Super Mario Bros.Wii NTSC unpatched flawlessly from USB. Does not launch unpatched from DVD.

I really can't get any 001 game to work with cIOSrev15 in NeoGamma. Either you patched 001 out of the game somehow, you use a patched NeoGamma, you have secret allow discs patch + rev14, you got a REALLY strange result, your you are lying.

Hmm. Could the people who have a not working rebooter tell me if they had preloader installed? NeoGamma boots the renamed system menu .dol if it finds it. That's also NeoGamma's check for preloader. To check if you have this file, browse your nand with fstoolbox(using a cIOS) and look into /title/00000001/00000002/content, if there's a 1xxxxxxx.app, NeoGamma tries to boot that. Don't do anything stupid, if that's the case, please report so i can figure out a clean and not bricking solution.


Oh and NSMB only works from disc with cIOSrev15, and NeoGamma does not work with cIOSrev15.

I have no preloader installed, I have the bootmii 0.2
EDIT : I haven't the folder /title/00000001/00000002/content in my sd root.

R8b12 loads NSMBW just fine with the latest homebrew channel, and cIOS r14, don´t know about cIOS r15 yet..

Is that for NTSC or PAL? Patched or unpatched? Did you use DVD+R or -R? If DVD+R, did you set book type to DVD-ROM? Need the details please!

I'm in the same boat, I have homebrew channel and try to load neogamma from the HC, Though it hangs on loading neogamma 52%, I have a modchip, will I still have to install any cIOS? I was under the impression that I didnt as I have a modchip which will boot burned games?

Nothing personal to the poster of this but anyone downloading this wad might want to be careful as bad wads can brick your wii and a guy makes his first post on this board offering a link to a wad of something that a lot of people will probably want.

Its the wad channel of the R7 version that's been around for some time now.

Here is a pic of what it looks like to see if you might be using it already.

I used customizeMii 1.0 to replace it with the R8B12 dol file.
I also removed the R7 from the banner so now all it says is neogamma backup launcher by wii power.

FTPI is the channel ID

I tested it out on my wii last night and it did not brick me.

you make a valid point (always have a way to revert), and I agree people should be careful, I can say that I have installed this wad on my wii and it works with no ill effects.

I did similar to you, I took an existing wad with neogamma r8 b7 and used CustomizeMii 1.0 to replace the dol with the ng r8b12 dol image is what was there before, a spinning disk going into a white wii with some text
