first of all, hi, i'm a long time lurker, first time poster. i've learned most of my wii modding techniques from this site and i want to thank those who contribute
secondly, i did a search on this issue and i can't seem to find a single person on this site or any other that seems to be having this issue. actually, i did come across one thread saying to use WiiScrubber to remove the 001 and 002 files in the main.dol on the Winter Games iso, and i did that and still had no luck
anyways, i'm getting to the "choose save file" part on the Winter Games and it's freezing and giving me the bad disc error. the regular Olympic Games disc is going directly to the error
because i know the kind of questions you'll probably ask, here's what i've done so far
- updated my already softmodded 4.0 wii to 4.2 and did the entire mod from scratch, via xzxero's guide posted here
- trucha bug is patched, and i'm running cIOS rev 14
- installed NeoGamma R7 (which is what i'm using to load the games)
- burned games with ImgBurn via the same method and discs that i've used to burn many other games
i've kind of fiddled with the settings in NeoGamma and can't quite figure out what the best configuration is, but regardless nothing has worked so far
i'm using Cliche's winter games release, and OneUp's summer games release
and for the record, i know it would be easier/better/cooler/l33ter to use a USBLoader, but i currently am lacking an external HDD and a flash drive big enough, so please spare me
