i have already downgraded to v4.0E
    but i need IOS 249 and 222
i tried hermas cios installer but when its downloading the cIOS it only gets to 1/15 and stops it goose automatically to the homebrew channel
is there another way to get both the IOS
i need them for the USB loader and already have my external hardware drive formatted for WBFS placed LoZ Skyward Sword on it
i use a SD card for my homebrew channel

First of all why did you downgrade to 4.0 it makes no sense . People either stay at their current system menu or go to 4.1 as I think 4.0 had some bug with wii sport resort .

Second no need to format your drive as WBFS its outdated & all good loaders support regular FAT32 & NTFS from ages ago .

Finally for the cios just get the latest recommended WADs from ModMii & install them but you might as well just completely rehack your wii if you are not sure you missed something .

why use WBFS instead of FAT32, NTFS or Ext2/3/4?

As said above use ModMii . Just download it , open the wizard , answer the questions & it will generate a guide for you to follow & download all the stuff you need .

    thanks it worked
but i need to play games now
i formated my external harddrive to FAT32 now
but the RAR is 46 parts and there contains the .iso file
but when i had NTFS i could easily place the 4.70 GB (MINIMAL) to the harddrive but now its not possible also when unpacking the rar files the harddrive is to small but its 74,5 GB Big
    what must i do now?

it's possible that the game you want to play has only 200MB of data, but the ISO is ALWAYS full DVD sized.
So, keeping the full iso size is a waste of place on your HDD.

Extract the .iso on your computer and use WiiBackupManager to convert it to ".wbfs" file and transfer that game into your FAT32 HDD.
The file's format conversion is done automatically when you transfer the game. You don't need to make the .wbfs first.

It will keep only the real game's data.
If the game's data is really bigger than 4GB, then WiiBackupManager will split the file in multiple parts.
These parts are not a problem for the USBloaders, they are read as if it was a full single file.

This isnt even needed if the iso is properly packed/splitted with r00 etc files.

and copy those files to the root of the USB
i copy the game via Wii backup manager it split in 2 pieces
its in the map wbfs>The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword [SOUP01]> SOUP01.wbf1 & SOUP01.wbfs

when i place the harddrive on the wii it dont get detected i dunno why

I asked about the hdd model not wii model as some doesn't work well with the wii so still need that answer but first does cfg loader recognize your hdd but not the partion or game or doesn't recognize it at all .

Sounds weird uloader works but not cfg.
You could try booting the loader with a base 58 cIOS, as that is supposed to have higher compability.

With drives, not with games. It doesn't work very well with games.

I suggest he try using 222/223, since that is what uLoader uses.

Yeah, with drives. But since his issue was that cfg didnt detect his HDD, he could use a base 58 to see if cfg find his HDD. What IOS he uses to boot the game after that shouldnt matter.
What I ment to say, without actually saying it, was - CFG > uloader :P

I'm saying he should use the 222 version of Cfg and see if that detects his HDD.
