Here's a data point for you :P

Tested on USA Wii U with USA Super Mario Maker disc, black screen!

Oh dear.

USA game on USA console doesn't even boot...Something is drastically wrong here...

Its sure going to be an interesting development cycle for you!

:(

Perhaps take DDD source, and strip it back until you get the desired results?

My theory:
Software that (eventually) runs within this chain-loader will be subject to the same limitations as Loadiine GX2's region free setup. In Loadiine GX2, you may need to perform language/other resource patches to make out-of-region games work within Loadiine GX2. So my theory is that you may also need to get Cafiine ready to perform those patches...

Though this obviously can't happen until the program actually launches in-region discs, lol.

We need a way to redirect language files as well. Some sort of patcher. If it doesn't find one region language folder, tries another one. Arbitrary, that could work on both out of region discs and out of region games on loadiine.

But that's just my theory :P

If it's anything like DDD (which it's based on), it shouldn't have the problem Loadiine GX2 has with out-of-region. DDD doesn't seem to have this problem. I've always been a bit curious to why when booting a game from disc in DDD that hitting the home menu will display the name of the game actually running and not MiiMaker like when you boot from the SD Card in Loadiine GX2 (out-of-region discs will also have their save files on the Wii U itself, not the SD).

I'm waiting for this tool to include the hotfix proposed by @QuarkTheAwesome, otherwise a black screen will most probably be my only result.
Once updated, I'll have the following games to test :

- Just Dance: Yokaï Watch Special (JPN)
- Just Dance Japan (JPN)
- Taiko No Tatsujin Tomodachi Daisakusen (JPN)

All these games were running perfectly using DDD's region bypass a while ago, let's hope the same for this tool asap :3

You may have missed my edit; but with my hotfix the app just boots into Mii Maker (AU console (EUR? I think?) with an AU Hyrule Warriors). I think the path that it tries to run ("/vol/storage_odd03") is not quite right.

This seems kind of sketchy. He made a region free loader that he can't even test. It doesn't even work. I'm not sure this guy knows what he's doing.

He's trying though, please try and cut him some slack. Others are pitching in, so there is progress.

Because co-pilot doesnt even show up on my pc. Not in the taskbar, not in the start menu search, and the option in settings to turn it on and off in the taskbar is not even displayed.

Well, I complain about Microsoft all the time. You seem to enjoy it, no offense. If you like using Windows, that's fine by me.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.

In fact. I freely give info. Stuff like gasoline apps, to save $, grocery apps, lots of cash back from rakuten, etc. etc.

$300 back last year from Rakuten for allowing them to track my purchase. I'll take the money for them to know I bought a bunch of stuff for my cat and some video games. lol

And for people to say things like "But I use all fake info". No, they don't. lol. They use fake info for all of their banking and online shopping? Fake shipping address, fake payment info? lol
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Fake name, address and payment info for internet service, etc? lol. Ill say it again. Everyone freaks out about OMG WINDOWS!! But crickets on anything else they do.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Other windows stuff people complain about to hypocritically. Like "But but but Windows bundle junk apps!!!!" Yeah?? So do many Linux distributions. Dont like it? Use one without them. Same with windows. Either find a pre-made version without the bundled stuff, or very easily make your own installer with what you want and do not want.
