Let me be as clear as I can because i'm still not very familiar with all the 3ds hacking terms

I would like to start off by stating my system is currently 9.2.0 SYSNAND and I use ctrbootmanager to boot into luma3ds (EMUNAND) After updating to 11.3 on emunand, ctrbootmanager freezes everytime I try to boot into luma.

I tried solving the problem by updating the latest luma 3ds files manually from the sd card and updating the files made it where I now no longer boots into ctrbootmanager. It just freezes in a black screen not able to boot into luma. The only thing I can do is hold R when booting to boot it to SYSNAND.

Is there a way to get back into my luma3ds EMUNAND?

EDIT: I replaced the boot.3dsx from the root menu and I can now access Homebrew launcher again. It is still freezing when I try to boot into Luma3DS from HBL.

you can backup your moveable.sed, ticket.db, and make a nand backup, reformat emunand, then inject them back

i'm actually not sure, do you know where I can get that? Or would posting the link break forum rules?

Nono. Go to luma3ds github and download the latest release, extract the content from the menuhax folder to your sd card root

Oh yes I did that, so I do have the latest menuhax stuff

Hm... sorry to bother you but how do I actually do that? Also will I lose all my saves from all my other games if I do that?

also backup your sd card contents.

the nand dump is in case you fk up, you can restart.

moveable.sed is used to decrypt the sd card contents.

ticket.db is for your installed games

So to make back up I just drag everything into a folder on my pc

how do I do nand dump and to back up the ticket.db and moveable.sed ?

Will this process save my save files?

yes, it will save your stuff. get this homebrew app called decrypt9. select emunand, then select dump emunand.
do the same for ticket.db and moveabl.sed

Why are you using menuhax in 2017 just install A9LH follow this guide to install it if you want https://3ds.guide/

Because I have like 10 gigs of games on the SD card to install A9LH I would need to delete everything along with my saves right? (TBH i'm too new too this so I don't want to mess up anything and I'm also scared that I will lose progress in ALL my games )

You won't lose anything if you do the steps correctly. You'll be able to move the data from your emuNAND to your sysNAND and continue using your console like nothing happened, only you won't have to deal with menuhax stuff.

You can move your emunand data to your sysnand cfw

How? Like after I install A9LH I can just drag and drop all the file I am backing up?
It gives you instructions at the end. When you're nearly finished it directs you to follow https://3ds.guide/move-emunand if you want to move your emuNAND to your sysNAND and get rid of emuNAND.

It's a long process but you basically backup your emunand code through hourglass9 then inject it to your sysnand which makes the sysnand read your emunand folder in your nintendo3dsfolder on the sd card. Then once it's injected you follow the steps with god mode 9 to clear your emunand slot once its injected to the sysnand since you don't need the 2gb of emunand space anymore. The guide will explain what I might have left out so be sure to read it.

OHHH I see!!

I'm currently backing up the content in my SD Card, its taking longer than I thought because I actually have 40 gig of data on it. After that should I do the nand dump, ticket.db dump and moveable.sed dump and do a restore? Or is it just straight up better to install A9LH?

You need to install a9lh first before you inject your emunand over to your sysnand, since you need to be able to chainload into hourglass9 and get firmprotection on the sysnand through luma since a9lh let's luma boot before the 3ds rather then go through menuhax and the hbl everytime.

So just forget the whole nand dump and the ticket.db and moveable.sed, and just jump to installing A9LH and then I move my emunand correct?
