Try some RPG's. Like Chrono Trigger, Pheonix Wright(not an RPG but still fun), Castlevania series, amd Final Fantasy series.

Depends on what kind of games you like. My playing sessions are usually pretty short (20 minutes or so..). The only game I have played for more than an hour in a row is Ninja Town. Very entertaining if you like these kind of games (towerdefense). If so, I'm sure you will arrive at your destination before you know it

Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Lots of puzzles ^^.
New Super Mario Bros. I can keep playing that game forever...
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. Same with the other Mario game.

If your flight is going to either France, Spain (or French/Spanish colonies), Japan or China -- you can learn a bit of the language with those "My ... Coach" games.

Pokemon will easily last you the flight to and from as well as some time at wherever you're going.

Puzzle and card games are great too. Club House Games has tons of games that never lose their fun, or Tetris DS for a classic puzzler.

I have a long flight next week too, so I've saved Chrono Trigger and Knights in the Nightmare for it.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is awesome and will eat up the hours, as will Super Robot Taisen OG.

Dude, there is so many games, but if you don't want to get into a big Nintendo DS games like RPG.

Try Ninja Town, Tetris DS, N+ or Club House Games. They are real killer time.

If you want something big, give a try to GTA China Town Wars, really good!
