From what I've had, not a lot of N64 games (Bomberman 64, Banjo Kazooie, etc.) run smoothly or even at all. I also forgot to mention PS1.
I've tried Resident Evil 1,2 and 3 using Retroach - along with the correct BIOS files ofcourse and it smooth like butter. No stutter, framedrops, anything unplayble at all. Well at least from what I tested from those 3 PSX games.

Idk bout n64, but on retroarch psx is very far from being near perfect :P.
It still is missing dynarec & literally everything needs overclock, some harder to emulate even with overclock will still fail.
N64 gets by on a number of tweaks, and those hard to emulate games definately require OC.
Also if all you care about is emulation, Android 10 is pretty much the pinacle for 90%.
Ubuntu is better for 1 or 2, and Horizon has Citra for 3ds emu which outperforms the others.
i have nearly 50+ psx titles and i play a lot of them regularly, all fullspeed, had 0 problems. Yes, some need 1.5 oc, mostly if dithering is used. But it doesn't affect the battery life almost at all. PSX compatibility is nearly perfect in RA HOS(even tho there's no dynarec yet which is true). Saying its far from perfect just because titles require some OC is clearly wrong. I'd agree on n64, but i'm not an n64 fanboy, i only have a handful of games and rarely play them. Also apart from gamecube and wii emulation, HOS is the best option for everything else convenience and performance wise (maybe except for some dc games that will perform better on android/l4t, but that's like 3-4% of the romset). All in all, psx, n64, dc, psp has amazing compatibility in HOS.

It has been proven that dual boot systems perform much better than horizon for emulation. If you think literally everything other than gamecube & wii is better on retroarch, your 100% biased.
Do you want videos running default settings on both? If that is what it takes, multiple exist.
I have literally zero reason to side towards android or ubuntu aswell, i would much prefer having everything on 1 operating system.
But saying is emulation is better on horizon is outright wrong. Multiple developers have mentioned it about 100x that it isnt, & given the backend, horizon will not reach the standards the alternatives offer. The reason GC/Wii emulation doesn’t exist or horizon, is because it is not as good a front for emulation in general.
Literally the one known emulator that outstrips the competition is Citra, which is not all that surprising as it is the next nintendo Arm device made after the 3ds.
Android runs PSX emulation without overclock at 4X resolution with enhancement filters. Your answer is completely biased, or you haven’t tested the alternatives at all. Im going to guess both.
