Hacking need help with cios downgrader

Signs of bricked wii:
System files are corrupt message.

Signs of semi-bricked wii:
Can't access wii settings menu.

Can anyone make a full list so I can go through and check? I'm getting a little paranoid now since I used Any Region Changer. x|

now i tryid using the 23oct fix but everything reports fail, i really dont know what 2 do

Did I cover about everything? This is all that was in the wiki. I guess I'm ok until someone comes along and corrects me..

emperorofcanada - you are the best - my problems are solved after 2 hard days you solve it in a few hours - my only problem now is that gamma loader leaves me with a black screen and a noisy dvd ill try make another copy of the game

Here are all the reasons I can think of that a game wouldnt work.

Problem: Bad burn (if you have too many programs running, or if you bump computer while burning OR if your burner is old/just plain sucks)
Solution: First try to reburn with no other programs running. If that doesnt work maybe try a different burn speed.

Problem: Bad media (Your DVD's suck)
Solution: Replace them with a different brand. -R seems to be most popular but +R DO work.

Problem: Game is not compatible with gamma (I need to explain that?)
Solution: Go to nearest game retailer and purchase a real copy.
Alternate Solution: Get a mod chip

Problem: You have not installed Gamma correctly.
Solution: Install Gamma correctly.

Problem: You have upgraded to ver3.4
Solution: Kick yourself repeatedly.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Hello everyone, i am new to all this homebrew stuff and am having the same trouble as the TC. I still have firmware 3.1U and never updated or did anything. My friend had installed the homebrew channel for me, so this is my first time trying to do things myself but i keep running into problems. I'm only trying to do this to get the backuplauncher .3g working. When i tried to install the BUL with cios installer, i got a an error and it seemed to just freeze.

I figured its cause i didnt have the right firmware so now i'm trying this cios downgrader to get 3.2U installed but i keep getting sent back to the wii menu when i use it. I put the cios downgrader folder into the apps folder, and changed the name of the file to be boot.dol. that and 2 txt files are the only files in the folder. do i need the other two files? am i missing something. I checked that one thread for the 3.1-3.4 downgrader tutorial for noobs and i'm still having trouble.
