Hacking Need help with Bannerbomb and Hackmii and Bootmii

Hi guys,

I want to install Homebrew Channel and Bootmii, plus all the nice stuff that comes along with it like Gecko OS. Now, I understand how that's done so that's OK.

But, the question I want answered is: does Bannerbomb and Hackmii Installer work on Japanese Wiis? (more specifically, a Wiikey modded 4.1J Wii that was purchased in 2008) I don't want to brick my wii trying to install something that was designed for American or PAL wiis. I sure hope Bannerbomb and Hackmii are universal tools that work on every region.

Second question, if you answer this, you get a virtual cookie! I bought my Wii in late August 2008. I hear there are two types of installation for Bootmii: boot2 and IOS. Which one (if I do get Bannerbomb to work) should I choose?

for your bootmii question,there are some Wii's that can't install Bootmii as boot2,you'll find out in bannerbomb,don't worry.If you can install as boot2,do so with IOS as well,if not just IOS.And always make a NAND backup
