Well, just a couple of hours ago I had a power outage. This was not really a problem, because I wanted to hook my Wii up to a battery and a portable screen. But, as it turns out, the cable (which goes directly into the Wii) had the wrong polarity. The cable had been repaired once before (before I got it) and, apparently, the jackass had no idea what he was doing. Is there anything I can do to salvage my Wii?

tl;dr
The power supply had the wrong polarity. Is my Wii completely beyond repair, or is there any way that I can fix the thing?

So, from what I've found, it's likely to be the F2 fuse that's fried. The info I have also states that you can just remove the fuse and bridge the two points and it'll be fine once more. Does anyone know just how safe/dangerous this actually is? (If you consider that the power supply has its own fuse, which should stop anything from happening to the Wii itself)
