I got an r4 card for my DSi today and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set it up. I’ve downloaded what I believe to be the correct firmware, but I keep getting the “an error had occured” screen. I bought the csrd from ebay (which I now realize was a bad idea) so I guess it could just be fake? Its called the r4i revolution for DS (DSi/DSL/NDS) and I’m using a DSi on 1.4.5. I tried posting this in the questions section, but I couldnt find the button to ask it. Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly, Please share the image of the card and secondly check if the R4 card is supported with the firmware version of your DS console. Most of the R4 cards have very good clones and they have thier own version of custom firmware which works pretty well. The biggest problem is the DS console firmware, whenever there is an update most of the R4 cards stop working and card developers normally do release the update for the same, but the problem here is that you should pre-update your R4 card before updating console firmware or if you have already updated the console firmware then you would need to do the same using some other DS console which has not yet been updated.

Thanks for the reply! I did some research and I’m pretty sure the card doesn’t work with my current firmware. I guess that’s what I get for not researching ahead of time.
