I'm doing the hacked 3DS system transfer to downgrade an unhacked 11.0 NDS. I did the system transfer with the Fieldrunners DSI Ware game, but my SD card that I transferred to was too low, so I chose PC transfer to manually pick out the files.

After the transfer, I went to the files and there was no DSi Ware data, so it said I needed to delete my DSi Ware saves on the SD to continue.. Since I found out that the PC transfer doesn't transfer the DSi Ware to the SD properly (guide didn't mention that either), I realized that I didn't have a choice and deleted the hacked save.

Now, I have the system transferred, and redownloaded the DSi Ware, but the hacked save itself is no longer on the 11.0 3DS. I've restored my NAND backup on the hacked system, so I can easily get another hacked save, but is there any way to get the save onto my unhacked 3DS? Am I able to use FBI or JK's Save Manager at all on an 11.0 3DS to inject the hacked file into Fieldrunners?

Format the 11.0 3ds and try the transfer again. Use a bigger sd card instead. Or delete some games. Just make space and try again.

No. IIRC, you have to wait 7 days.

So there's absolutely no other way to get the save onto the 3DS apart from system transfer? Even if I have the same fileson the original hacked 3DS and can dump them onto an SD?

Nope. Only way is through a transfer as save managers don't have access to dsiware game saves. Only godmode9 or other arm9 exploits. And there is no arm9 exploit for 11.0. Only option is system transfer.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.

    That sounds really cool

I know the basics but no strategy at all

Watch chess streamers on Twitch and you'll pick up a thing or two.

Not to mention there's an infinite number of chess games for every possible platform.
