Lately I have been focused on the sims 2 for the nds, and I have been wanting to tinker with the npc models. I had planned to put the meshes into blender and rig them to make dumb animations. The only issue is I have no clue what I am doing and there is not very many resources for the sims 2 ds. I’ve seen a couple of forums on this website about nds extraction, and assumed this was my last hope before dumping the entire project.
There are a couple meshes online of other npcs that are in a tpose already, but they aren’t the specific ones I want. I have downloaded multiple programs to try and extract the meshes, and the most I’ve been able to do is extract the fat files with the rom.bin file and the SoundData.rom file (except melonripper, but the only issue is that the meshes are in poses already and making the mesh tpose manually is a huge pain.) I’m pretty sure the files I need are inside rom.bin, but I have not found anything anywhere on how to even begin opening it. If someone would please help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
