Hey guys!

I haven't used my 3ds since february, but now that I'm on my vacations I want to start using my 3ds again

What do I need to know that changed all this time?

I know that there were a ban wave, how can I know if I was banned or not?

How do I update to the latest CFW?

I'm currently using a O3DS 11.3.0-36U with A9LH + Luma3ds

You should be fine updating to 11.6 but certain CIAs may need to be updated like homebrew launcher. Just make sure you never share your information with Nintendo no matter how cute the bunny rabbit asks in street pass, badge arcade, and any other official 3ds game/app because nothing good can come from letting Nintendo see what you're doing on a CFW ever.

You really should update your setup. B9s is the new a9lh, and it takes minutes to install. Just go to 3ds.guide and click a9lh to b9s from the menu in the top right corner. It has extra features such as hb app injection and input redirection, and all around higher compatibility and stability.

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
