I am new to homebrew (I just did it today following the 3d.hacks tut). I'm trying to get pretendo, but I have to enable Luma patches. I tried the start+power and I can only get Godmode9 menu to come up. Just looking for help/suggestions :/ I'm pretty confused when it comes to things like this.

The only things i can think of are:

- if your sd card is 32gb or more, make sure it is properly formatted (fat32)

- make sure the switch on the sd card isn’t set to read only (this only applies to old 3ds, old 3ds xl, and old 2ds)

- make sure the file config.ini exists in the luma folder of your sd card

It doesn't contain that file, and i tried to create it and there was no change, is there something I can do?
Thanks again, I just am so overwhelmed and I'm sure it's a simple fix.

If your SD card is failing, it may have become read-only. Do your other games work normally?
My games have worked normally, I'm thinking I'm just going to get a new SD tomorrow. I ran the test and it told me it couldn't test the full storage space.
Edit: My normal physical games have worked but I'm unable to download games from the universal updater.

I should be more precise: can you start a game, save it, and then reload the save data? That is what I mean by "normally".

As per the other post, you're supposed to copy all the files off the SD card first and then format the card before running h2testw.

If you cannot format the card or otherwise delete any files, then you definitely need a new SD card.

My game has started saved and reloaded with no issue.
I also copied all the files when I ran the test and had no luck.
I got a new SD today and now it's telling me it can't read the software.
Should I just start from step one?

Yes, but my post said:

Is that what you did?

It's telling me there's no SD card detected, and then in the same message that it cannot read the software on the SD card
What is telling you that, and when is it telling you that?

Are you trying to read your old SD card in your PC again?

If your sd card is larger than 32gb, it needs to be formatted to fat32.
I have formated to exFAT and then allocation size 32. Is that not right?
Yes, but my post said:

The 3DS is displaying that message when I turn it on with the new sd inserted.
