So ive gotten tired of running games off discs with freemcboot and decided the faster load times and ease of use of a hardrive loader would be better for me.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial or guide for how to go about adding a hardrive to my ps2 and running games off it? I already have hdd loader off freemcboot and can boot elf files if that helps.

Oh and if possible, someone link me to a recommended site for buying one of these drives, any help at all would be appreciated.

You need to find a Network Adapter to connect the HDD to your PS2. This is a table of compatible IDE HDD's, and you'll probably need to trawl ebay for the Network Adapter.

Ok I found a network Adapter for $50.00, now what? I'm assuming I should go out and buy one of the compatible hard drives now but is there a size limit for how many gigs? I'm going for a 350-500GB drive if there isn't.

How do I connect the hardrive to my computer? Doesn't HDloader have a ripping option so i can just put in a dsc to add it to the hardrive?

it has but it only works with original games i think.

you have 2 options, either connect your ps2 harddisk to your pc and put games on it real fast, or use an ftp program to transfer the games but it goes really slow
