Okay, I need some decent games for an 8 year old. He likes nickelodeon (spongebob mostly) and soccer. Whaterver you think. That guy who sold it preloaded games... A lot of games. And some aren't actually 8 year old-ish. (Resident Evil, GTA, and the dreaded.... Super Robot Taisen K Endless Frontier (that idiot).

Okay, I know there are like a lot of threads on this but I still need it.

Most Nintendo first party games.

Super Mario 64, New Super Mario Bros., Mario kart DS, The Legendary Starfy, Nintendogs, Pokemon(I think?) and.... Kirby games.

And brain training games, good for his brain development!

Luminous Arc 2 and Super Robot Taisen...

Okay, real suggestions that haven't been made yet:

Danny Phantom - Urban Jungle: he likes Nicktoons and this isn't just another mindless platformer. Actually is a pretty fun (and easy enough for an 8 year old) side scrolling space-like shooter.

Treasure World - Only if you travel a lot. I have a three year old godson who loves seeing treasures pop up when we're traveling. It gives kids a sense of real world adventure and the ability to customize and be imaginative with their avatars.

Legendary Starfy - A Nintendo made sidescroller with a bit more human to it than most, it should be up an 8 year old's alley.

Definitely put Starfy on. My brother plays that, and he's 6, he rarely needs help except for a particularly tricky part so an 8 year old should have no problem.
Kirby is a good one, my sisters play that a lot (Superstar Saga)
Yoshi Touch n Go...
Electroplankton can be good to keep em quiet for a while, but sometimes they'll turn the sound up loud and it's extremely annoying.

That's dumb...

Anyway to awnser the topic question... Soccer game aren't that great on DS... Megaman is actually a good game for a 8 year-old... I think it's actually rated 7+ on Europe... Mario Kart DS is a good game too (I'm 17 and still enjoy it O.o) and Pokémon (I'm addicted --' shame on me) If he like strategy games Advance Wars is good too and it's not too violent (I think)

Hmm, tough one. There's a lot of games that fit 8-y/olds on the DS. If he likes FPS let him try Moon. It's a bit tough, but it's not a violent as the other FPS's on the DS. And of course there's every Nintendo first-party game, those DragonBall games, and some other things.
