That's funny. The exact same thing just happened to me !
Maybe it was a bad burn, but after I patched the .ISO to IOS249, it worked like a charm..

Ok, well first I'm going to try what you said about patching it to fix the 002 error. I extracted the main.dol and patched it, but how do I put it into the ISO? I'm a new to patching, sry.

right click the main.dol file you extracted in wiiscrubber and select load then navigate to your new patched version and job done

but i dont think this will work why dont you patch the iso to ios249 also just to make sure

Yeah, I tried that and burned it and it didn't work.

How do I patch it to use ios249? Sorry for being so noobish. Never done this stuff before.

Well I patched it and it had the same outcome. It must have been a bad dump I guess. *sigh* I will try a good iso and report back. That might take a few days though...

Make sure you verbatim report a Disc ID as MCC004 or 002 in ImgBurn, if not, then is your media...!!!

It isn't the media. Every other game I have on that brand works fine. I got them from Sam's Club, so I know it is legit.

So you are 100% their ID is MCC004/MCC002, if that is so, then you have a bad dump, and I am 100% sure of that...!!!

I don't have a video game rental place close to here. I'd rather use a trusted iso now anyway just to be sure.

Ok, turns out it was a bad dump. I have the game working as it should now with a new iso.
