Well it is catsfc.ini but since you tried different versions of the plugin then you should have overwritten it with a clean copy already. I guess try removing all but one ROM and if it still freezes then it could be the microSD is corrupted or real fragmented. In that case, back everything up that you need to save, format, and reinstall.

Are you using a hacked version? The emulator is based off a version of Snes9x that doesn't run *pure* BS-X games.

Yeah it's version 1.43 I believe. They tried newer versions, but it was too slow to emulate fluidly.

I like this emulator but the volume is low, and the screen tears with movement, kind of like running an emulator on PC with v-sync off

are there any solutions to this?

I have actually started a Catsfc Discord server a couple days ago to try and maybe get development for the emulator rolling once more. The only issue I have is I am unable to find anyone who is willing to help continue this.
