Hey everyone, back in 2009 i had an M3 DS real with my DS. (I havent been doing this for a while)

I just bought a DS XL and thought i would start anew :-)

But man, what a jungle this is :-P.

I would really appreciate if someone could recommend a flashcart and firmware for me and maybe where to purchase it.

Thank you

Cool, maybe in about 7 more years you'll resurface and upgrade to a 2ds :P

R4iGold (r4ids.cn) is a great card but dsTWO is also nice if you need more featues and price/battery life aren't important.
Firmware isn't an issue with the cards.

I'm oldschool baby ;-)

So with the R4iGold will i be able to play GBA games aswell?

I remember using the firmware m3 sakura (or something) 6 years ago, are there any new versions of that?

I think the m3 series is old news? Might want to ask @Crystal the Glaceon about it.

The DStwo is a good card for GBA emulation as it has an on-board 400mhz CPU and such. It's a little pricey at $40, but worth it imo.

Thanks i'll look into the DStwo, is it easy to Setup? I would like to avoid any difficult setups if possible.

But can i still play GBA games on the R4iGold?

It's easy.
Yes, but very poorly. The DSiXL has no GBA hardware unlike the dslite/phat.

6 years ago when i was active on this forum i was so glad to see how friendly and helpful all of the users were, seems like that is still the case, thanks a lot :)

Do you know of any reliable sites where i could buy a DStwo from?
