If you understand Japanese then you are in for a busy week.

<!--coloro:Purple--><span style="color:Purple"><!--/coloro--><b><u>Read to know when a game could be dumped:</u>
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you with mouth.</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

Got the console/PC version with a guitar? You might not wanna bother with this unless you're like insane with the series, but if you're only ever gonna have a DS and have the money to spare than go for it

Tracklisting:

Subway
1. Do What You Want - OK Go
2. All the Small Things - blink-182
3. Spiderwebs - No Doubt
4. Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
5. We’re Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister

Rooftop
6. All Star - Smashmouth
7. Breed - Nirvana
8. Jessie’s Girl - Rick Springfield
9. Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benatar
10. This Love - Maroon 5

Parade
11. Heaven - Los Lonely Boys
12. Helicopter - Bloc Party
13. China Grove - The Doobie Brothers
14. Rock And Roll All Nite* - Kiss
15. What I Want - Daughtry

Greek Arena
16. Jet Airliner* - Steve Miller Band
17. Black Magic Woman*- Santana
18. Stray Cat Strut - Stray Cats
19. La Grange*- ZZ Top
20. Youth Gone Wild*- Skid Row

Yeah some real shit songs there (Maroon 5 for fuck sake!). How many do you actually like? For me there are maybe 6 and thats it, now if we could hack the game like the Wii version than yep maybe could be worth getting fi you're never gonna get a console.

The game will also use the mic which is another unwelcome addition, you use it to blow out flames because that is what you'd want to do while trying to look at the screen and "rocking" out.

Activision have stated that there will be another GH DS game by the end of the year so at least there'll be one more game to play this with plus I'm sure there will be many homebrew games coming afterwards, but for me playing this on a small screens, with tiny sound (you will need headphones) & without the proper feel of the guitar is just pointless and not Guitar Hero, but then I'm sure this'll be the big hit DS game of the year regardless of what I think. Check out how stupid the kid looks in the video. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Uh oh THQ movie cash in! RUN AWAY!!!! They kinda been quiet lately haven't they?

Actually this looks like its had more work than the usual ones and to be honest...Rataouille was kinda alright with a decent game engine. This uses the same engine.

Players will take control of WALL-E and EVE through a fast-paced adventure based on the upcoming DisneyPixar film. The game will allow fans to relive some of the movie's most thrilling moments as they explore 10 worlds filled with non-stop action and adventure, along with head-to-head multiplayer challenges. Players will recognize the storyline, characters and key locations from the WALL-E film as they carry out intense missions, dodge dangerous enemies and navigate their way through a futuristic world.

Could be bad or mediocre. Oh by the way, Wall-E = Johhny 5 rip off.

I'd be honest with you, wasn't that thrilled with the Japanese game. It was still good, just kinda "been there done that". Still I'm sure a lot of people will lap this game up.

So yeah a sequel to the GBA game (hence the title) and not the much better PSX one. School is out for the summer, but mischievous Luso Clemens must first face detention to make up for his misbehavior. Alone in the library, he stumbles upon an ancient book with magical powers that summons him to the mystical land of Ivalice. Warped into the middle of a battlefield, Luso joins Cid and his clan to set off on an adventurous journey looking for a way home.

People new to the series can easily start off on this game. It is also 100% buttons, no touch screen which annoyed me but you could just pretend that the touchscreen doesn't exist. A nice thing about this game is that on the Japanese version if you inserted the GBA game you would actually get a special clan ability. Not sure if its in this version though.

What is nice is yet again SE are releasing this in NA & Europe in the same week, take note other publishers,

Yawn.

Geo Stelar and crew return to battle a whole host of UMA's (unidentified animated beings) and a new rival character appears named "Rogue." Amidst this new conflict, a mysterious organization emerges with plans to revive the ancient civilization of "Mu" by utilizing the force of an ancient heritage "OOPArt." It's up to Geo and his virus-busting buddy, Omega-Xis, to thwart this latest threat.

Yeah the Zero/ZX/X titles I can accept as they were good and the Battle Network games were good until after the 3rd game but please Capcom only have after Mega Man 9 please stick with the scrolling shooter...k? No not gonna happen because a 3rd Starforce game is due out in Japan later in the year. Hey Capcom get BioWare to do a Mega Man RPG!

Treasure not making this one so Sega decided to do something different with the series.

Gone is the 2D beat-em-up, in is a turn based strategy. The game will feature a new storyline in the Bleach continuity written for this game by Tite Kubo himself. Two shinigami, Matsuri Kudo and her twin brother Fujimaru, travel through time to the present day. In the living world, they will meet Ichigo Kurosaki and learn about the true intentions of their 5th Division Vice Captain Sosuke Aizen. During their journey, the Kudo siblings will meet younger versions of Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Momo Hinamori, Gin Ichimaru, Soifon and Kenpachi Zaraki

The game will contain 180 characters which include ones that are all new to the series. Will it be released outside of Japan? Probably, I mean Sega have localised lesser titles.

This is kinda like Wario Ware but with Namco games instead & its said to be more of "video game trainer".

30+ games include Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, Namco Classic II, Metro-Cross, Family Stadium, Mappy, Galaga, Xevious, Dragon Spirit, Family Jockey, Tower of Druaga, Star Luster, Command Nyuuryoku, Adventure, The Legend of Valkyrie, Sky Kid, Family Stadium, Dragon Buster, Youkai Douchuki & Wagan Land. Also included will be an 8-bit version of Idolm@ster & a Dragon Quest version of Tower of Druaga.

I'd love to play this game and hope for a release outside of Japan.

Hellooooooooo Nintendo? Can you hear me? Can we have the first game please? It was gonna be Jam with the Band but looks like its been cancelled. :cries:

This is a DJ style music game for the Nintendo DS where players can play the parts of multiple music instruments in one song, allowing them to play any part of a MIDI-style song, and is the sequel to Daigasso! Band Brothers. This sequel plays the same way as the first game, only this one introduces a karaoke mode and allows players to play chords instead of a single note for certain instruments. Users will also be able to utilize a new Wii "Speaker Channel" which will project the game's audio through television. Players can also download hundreds of songs onto the game, via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, as well as play locally with up to eight people using single-card download play. Like the original, there are currently no plans to release this game outside of Japan.

You'll be able to chose from 200 songs, but you can only keep 100 on your cart at a time. A list of songs can be fount <a href="http://www.worldlingo.com/S1790.5/translation?wl_srclang=ja&wl_trglang=en&wl_url=http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/axbj/download/songlist.html" target="_blank">here</a> There are 50 instruments which include NES sound chip, acoustic guitar and you can also sing if you so wish.

So already puts Guitar Hero DS to shame with the downloads (free I may add) and also with the mass amount of instruments, online play and modes that will be on this. Please Nintendo give this to us, you'll make lots more monies.

Another week and another Nobunga Ambition game is released in Japan but wait this one is all new!

Nobunaga's Ambition: Kunitori Tounou Battle is a departure from its predecessors. It's set up as a board game where players use the stylus to directly move Sengoku Era generals about on a map in an effort to increase their territory.

Included in this game is online battles! Which is nice. Will we see this localised? Unlikely seeing that the others haven't been released.

Hey look a Japanese game that is being released outside of Japan! This will hit US shops in September.

The first Disgaea game for the DS has the same basic concept as other strategy RPGs, but uses many unique features and enhancements. Features include the use of Geo Cubes (magic items that add more depth to multi-player battles, Demon Gadgets (randomly generated items that appear on the battlefield) and more. It is a reworking of the PSP game Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness which was actually a reworking of the PS2 game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

The game will have new characters, storylines and features added to the DS version as well as the touchscreen stuff too. The bottom screen gives a zoomed-in view of your selected character, while the top screen provides a bird's-eye view of the action. Players can choose to play with the stylus, making selections on the touch screen, or the entire game can be played with buttons in a more traditional manner.

The original voice acting will also make the DS version but the English version will only have English voice, unless someone hacks it of course.

Now I finished this on the PS2 and I liked it a lot, so much so that I finished the PSP version. Will I finish the DS one? Hell fucking yeah, this game looks just as awesome and should play as well too!

Previous a PC game and then released later in the GBA's life span, both of those titles were very good.

Players manage a tower and all tenants who reside within. Your goal is to make your tenants happy, collect greater investment funds and expand your tower upwards. This isn't as easy as it seems, as you have to keep your tenants' stress level down or they'll take flight and leave you with vacancies and unpaid dept. As the building manager, you have lots of responsibilities. You have to make sure elevator access is smooth, perhaps making use of more funds to install new elevators. You even have to clean the toilets by pressing the A button real fast. Listening to your tenant's opinions is also important, and the game offers a quick way of viewing complaints and comments from your tenants in real time.

I hope for an English release which could be possible as its already in English on GBA/PC.

Another shit racer for the DS? I hope not, also don't confuse this with the dire Corvette Evolution GT.

Featuring 5 different game modes (Quick Race, Time Attack, Career, Championship, wireless Multiplayer), Evolution GT gives players control of officially licensed GT cars, including the Corvette Z06, Mercedes-Benz SLK, TVR T 350, Audi A4 Touring Car and unleashes them on fascinating tracks in 8 different environments (London, Milan, Barcelona, Cote d’Azur, Corsic Island, Scottish Highlands, Berlin, Tuscany Hills). Evolution GT also supports the DS rumble pak.

Career allows you to experience four seasons in the career of a rookie racing driver to a top class one. By choosing Championship mode, further cars and tracks can be unlocked and then used in Quick Race mode, while multiplayer mode enables up to 4 players to go head-to-head in races, via game sharing. No online at all.

The PS2 version was just a run of the mill racer, can this be better on DS? I swore there were some pics of this but can't find them, will update when I can.

Rock Band allows gamers to perform music from the world's biggest rock artists with their friends as a virtual band using drum, bass/lead guitar and microphone peripherals, in addition to offering deep online connectivity. Built on unprecedented deals with the world's biggest record labels and music publishers, the music featured in Rock Band spans all genres of rock and includes many of the master recordings from the biggest songs and artists of all time.

No DLC = no sale, though there will be a disc you can buy which will have the "best of". The price for the whole package is just too much for one game, especially in Austraila & UK where we get analed real hard on prices. Sure you can use the instruments for the yearly sequels but I'd rather not pay so much.

Developed by HB Studios Multimedia, Big Beach Sports drops players into a seaside resort setting where up to four players can compete in sports including volleyball, soccer, American football, bocce, disc golf and cricket. The single player tournament structure encourages players to master each sport through the use of creative control combinations and real-life sport motions.

Gimme gimme gimme! Loved the first game on the GameCube to bits, and this one looks so damn beautiful.

Set two years after the events of the first game Symphonia, Knights of Ratatosk follows the journey of two new young heroes, Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi, as they seek to uncover the mystery of why their world has fallen into ruin. In their quest, their paths will cross with the original cast of Tales of Symphonia including Lloyd and Colette, as well as a summon spirit known as Ratatosk who claims to be the lord of all monsters.

Knights of Ratatosk introduces a new monster recruitment feature in which players can capture more than 200 unique enemies and train them to actively participate in battle. Players can then feed these monsters to make them more effective, and even evolve them into several new fearsome forms. The game also features an updated real-time battle system that lets players move freely in all directions around the battlefield, execute powerful unison attacks and take advantage of a new elemental alignment system for even more strategic depth.

Thankfully this will be released at the end of the year eslewhere as Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Well this looks quite funny actually. By Artoon who worked with Mistwalker on Blue Dragon & did the good Blinx & Yoshi's Island DS games and the dreadful Topsy Turby Yoshi & the Pinobee games.

Its based off the Japanese flash animation of the same name and promises rhythm-based gameplay with the Wii remote used for direct controls. AQ Interactive first released a special “Nissan Note” version of the game back in mid January as a present given exclusively to those who test drove the Nissan Note during an event held by Nissan.

The video featured is actually a trailer of the film as its kinda funny.

Also out is:
<b>Cocoto Kart Racer</b>, you may remember that Cocoto games are fuck awful.
<b>Urban Extreme</b> which is DDI and we all know what to do with those games.
<b>WALL-E</b> THQ can't be bothered to show the Wii version so I can't be bothered to write it up.

Well, I'm looking forward to FF Tactics A2 (it's finally coming)..I'll wait for some reviews on Guitar Hero to see is ti worth buying, as dumping that game won't do us good..

I don't know Japanese, so those japan released games means nothing to me, I just hope we'll get english versions of those strategies..

Good work Hadrian. Some decent games to play on my plane trip. I've got a feeling Guitar Hero: On Tour won't turn out that great. We all know how good my predictions are

. Never played the Jap version of Tactics, might appease me. DDI for life!

Nice list again Hadrian
Well some good games on their way like FFA which I pretty much don't like due to it's slowness (the one hadrian suggested for the gba ie. Shining force is playable in fast forward in vba). Center of the world looks nice graphics-wise.
Bleach and Evolution are more of the maybe i will play em games but comon... what is wrong with GRID guess they wanna make it the best racing game for the nds which is not bad

No matter how cool those kids in the Guitar Hero trailer try to look, it looks so amazingly LAME! Imagine seeing some cool new kids on the block who want to impress eachother with THIS! No matter how hard you try you're always looking like a RETARDED NERD with this device.
It's just not going to work. Being a guitar hero on a Nintendo DS (read: kiddy game console)? Not gonna happen! Blowing on your DS in front of your cool friends? You're joking.

Normally I really go for things like these; intuitive and different gameplay, but from looking at this trailer I could not ever see myself playing this.

This game should be called GUITAR NERD: THE MUSICAL WANNABE (without friends)

Anyway: Thanks again Hadrian for the effort. Again, you showed me games that I never even heard of. That "The World of Golden Eggs: Nori Nori Rhythm Kei" looks BRILLIANT! Quirky, funny and above all, STRANGE AS HELL!!! Right up my alley!

Its actually been finished for a while now so its nothing to do with whether its finished or not. I message Codemasters and had a reply saying it will be out in the UK on the 25th but yesterday I had another saying that its been delayed to a "less active" month so that the game can do better sales wise.

Confused?

Seems even some people in the company don't know what is going on.

Just fount out that the 100 songs you choose in Band Brothers DX can't be deleted or replaced! So basically once you've decided what ones you want out of 200, you can't choose again.

Hoping someone could hack that, even if 100 is enough.

EDIT: Oh yeah I might skip next weeks thread, kinda forced myself to do this one so if there isn't a thread by Friday feel free to do one yourselves. Its not the time its losing the will to want to do anything for this place lately.

Love you with mouth etc.

Do you think Band Brothers DX will ever get localized?

Will the downloadable content be similar to Wifi Puzzles in Professor Layton?
Cause, you download one every week, but it's already in the game.
You just download the stuff to unlock it.
Pretty sure there's a code now for you to unlock all WiFi puzzles easily.

If it is, you think it's also possible to get 200 songs?

Nice list Hadrian, Band Bros DX looks great, Deufeufeu said he'll work on translation patches for it like he did for the first one.
Megaman looks good, haven't played one on DS before.
