Is there a version of NDSTokyoTrim that doesn't have a disgusting hentai background, and could someone link me if so?

What's funny about this is that Brian didn't even care about the background until people made a fuss about it, and now it's essentially hard coded into the software. I initially suggested that with people SHARING a computer (ie a family) this might have done better with a solid or gradient background, or at least defaulting to something less... questionable by some accounts, however, it is his software and he can do what he wants with it.

Why would someone get on your computer and start up random programs? Because that's the only way I can think of that someone would see the background.

Well for the starters, the program icon features an animu chick in a pose that screams out jailbait. It's only natural they'll think it's porn or something then open it. Then bam, they see an animu chick totally asking for it and assume I'm a horny bastard.

It doesn't even install any directories, meaning unless you have it sitting on your desktop it doesn't matter what the icon looks like. Not to mention if you really wanted it on your desktop you could hide it somewhere, actually make it hidden, make a shortcut and then change the shortcuts icon. Simple as that.

Personally I wouldn't even have an opinion on having the background image at all except other people care so now I do. I hope Brian keeps it on permanently simply because I hate it when people try and make the creators of something change something because it offends them. Every single person on this forum complaining about the image are just like the idiots that complain when there are Christmas trees up in airports, screaming for them to be taken down because they're a jew.

Okay, no there has never ever been another background for this program. In its earlier versions you could change it somehow via viewing the resources and hacking or something, but now you cant. Brian hard coded it in so it is pretty much impossible to change unless you really know what your doing. So if you don't like it, get over it and use other trimmers. Or you could beg Brian to change it.

lol. If i remember correctly, there was some protection that if you modified the current version then ran it, it would shut down your computer lol.

At least maybe this topic will free the main topic of complaint about the BG.

That really made no sense. If you look at it technically, the topic IS open and we ARE discussing. Or does the original poster need to include, "feel free to add your opinions and suggestions!" in his post just so I can make a suggestion without having it deemed as a complaint?

Who knows. How annoying that someone would figure out how to do something, and keep it to himself, instead of documenting how it is done for the greater good of the NDS community...

I'm tempted to write my own trimmer. I'll call it goatsetrim. Just guess the background picture for that...
