I know I might get quite a hate for this, but help this poor soul maybe ?
So this happened.
I was trying to jailbreak my friend's DS lite using a flashcart to play games in it(you know roms and all).
Now this happened.
Whenever I try to select a game after a certain scrolling, the DS stops responding.
The lights are on and running but none of the buttons and the touchscreen responds.
This was happening when I tried to select Mariokart DS.
Now, I deleted the Mariokart off his memory card and now, the problem occurs whenever I try to select Pokemon diamond.
Anyone have any clue about the issue and any way to solve it ?
Btw, i'm using a R4i-advance flashcart(you know, the red one with a Mario pic on it).

Why don't you try to update the firmware from your R4?, the flashcard should point you a website where you can download a Kernel Update for the flashcard, just download and extract it on the R4 (Replace if necessary).

So, this is a firmware issue ?
Also, the website which the flashcart manufacturer has mentioned(r4i-advance.com)is either down or doesn't exist.
Is there any way to use any other firmware ?
Also, this ain't a hardware issue right ?
I'm a newbie so please bear with me.
The whole DS jailbreaking scene is something completely vague to me ;-;

Well, for the looks of it, if the page isn't working, try to find a new update from here:
http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/

Find the flashcard, and replace the files, once you do it, i suggest you to re-update (again) with this:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/retrogamefan-updates-releases.267243/

If neither of that works, put your page on "Wayback Machine" or websource, in order to obtain a screenshot from an old page, and possibly download something from it.

To be even more specific, the console freezes when I try to select a game.
I'm feeling like..........

This looks like a bad SD card. Try to format using SD Formatter (just Google it) or even better, replace it with a another one.

Any chance of the flashcart being damaged or the firmware being corrupted ?
I should've gone for the R4-SDHC.
Sigh........
