It really isn't. Seriously. There's nothing fancy or great about Naruto - it's the Anime equivalent of a soap opera. Lowest common denominator, on the same shelf with One Piece. Dragon Ball Z gets a pass because it's old-school, but when you go down to the basics, it's all the same uninspired shlock. It's highly-entertaining... when you're 12.What, Naruto is awesome what are you talking about?
I mean, I can't blame you for liking something - everybody has different tastes. I'm just saying it ain't special and as you watch more and more, your tastes will gradually become more refined. But than again it might just be me. Because I'm developmentally delayed. And adited to lots of shit for that matter
I mean, it's a classic, one of the first of its kind, and you don't really argue with classics... That said...Speaking of Dragon Ball that one is good in my opinion
I've noticed that you really have to be "into" one of these "suggish" Anime's to "appreciate" it - once you're out of the loop it starts looking all weird... Maybe that's why I can't catch on anymore - I just expect the pattern to repeat (it usually does, but hell, it's less exciting once I know it will ).I've watched it on dvd, also I almost dozed off 2 years ago trying to watch season 2. It was the after the day I stayed up all night playing super mario world on the snes I used to have and beat it. It was Six o'clock in the morning. lol
I like anime but I think Naruto, One Piece, Bleach and Dragonball are dreadful. They really are not to my tastes.
Finaliy someone that agrees with meI agree with @cherryw17.
You guys act like never really watched the show.
Naruto is far too different from Dragon Ball.
Dragon Ball started as an anime with the main, and almost only goal of the show was it's humor
The adventure of an innocent kid, exploring an unique and amazing world looking for the Dragon Balls.
After Red Ribbon saga, people wanted more action, but that was never the intention of Akira Toryama.
He created Picollo, Vegeta, Frieza and Cell just for the audience who wanted limitless action.
Majin Buu saga was intended for getting back to Dragon Ball Origins.
Akira created Goten to bring back the innocent kid who explores the the world looking for the Dragon Balls,
a copy of Goku, but that time with his rival Trunks, his big brother Gohan, and Videl.
The audience just wanted action, and we got a stupid vilan called Majin Buu.
After years of just doing an anime that was just a competition to see who was stronger,
and not doing what he always wanted, he decided to simply stop.
Naruto is much different, it focus on the meaning of pain, hatred and forgiveness.
Naruto have started simply as a kid who had a big dream, but nowaday he is the one who carry the will of his master,
the will to stop this endless hatred cycle, and to create a definite peace for the world.
It's not an anime to see who has the bigger power or who can release a bigger kamehameha from his hand,
it's an anime about an ideal and a message to the audience.
Yeah I have to agree with that but once your into it you get adited to it.I've noticed that you really have to be "into" one of these "suggish" Anime's to "appreciate" it - once you're out of the loop it starts looking all weird...
