Ok i have a problem getting a NAND backup. The first time i did it i couldnt find the file on my sd card. Then i tried it again and i got a nand.bin file but it has 0bytes as its space. Then i checked my sd card properties and it was full i was wtf theres only around 70mb. So i found out that i was getting some nand files i think that were "ivisible" so i reformated my sd card reput my files on it then i checked it 70mb of used space. I put it back in my wii to get the nand file and it said
Failed-1
then i checked my sd card there it was a gain a nand.bin file with 0bytes and magically theres was around 540mb added to my sd card without any file.
Can anyone help me i just wanan get a backup to anti brick my wii

Try a different SD card, and see if the problem persists.
BootMii is notorious for being picky about which SD card it uses. Try another if you have a spare, you can always transfer the nand.bin to your PC if you require the space on the card.

I just sent you a message..

Reformatting the SD Card might help...?
I'm guessing you have a 2GB or higher SD Card I find that my 1GB SD Card works grate with BootMii but my 2GB gets ALOT of errors when making a NAND back up.
"Errors", not bad blocks, bad blocks are normal.

BootMii still offers you brick protection because it lets you use HomeBrew Channel witch you can use apps to help recover from a bricked Wii.
But a NAND back up is the best way to fix a brick and you really should get it..

Best of Luck.

You know, theses a veary small chance its my BootMii folder it was made after installing BootMii Beta 2.
Do you have BootMii Beta 1 or Beta 2 installed?

Hi UnseenHero

me again, it sound like bootmii is not compatible with your sd card
whats the manufacture of you sd card

i had a kingston that didn't work then got myself a sandisk that did

Eddie_Brock's right BootMii is notorious for being picky about which SD
cards

just because you carn use bootmii dosn't mean you can do a nand dump
i had this prob with my kingston so got me a sandisk 4gb.

and can i still unbrick my wii without nand backup?

Yes you can BootMii lets you use The HomeBrew Channel there you can install a new System Menu witch will restore most if not all bricks.
The only way you'll really be in trouble is if the Brick some how deletes the HomeBrew Chanel, that's when the NAND back up is really important.

I don't know if this has ever happened but it may be a possibility..
Hack, there could be a way to Brick the Wii and it deleting BootMii witch will make a NAND backup useless as well.

The good thing is I never heard of anything like this happening.
