I tried putting the latest version of Wood on my N5 flash cart. When I put in just the root file it changes the layout and whatnot and works fine, but when I put in the DS Menu file it goes into infinite loading and won't change until I reformat my SD card. I've heard it does work on N5 but please help, I really want to play Pokemon Black.

I've read before that wood DOES work on clones so don't blame me. In that case I have 2 more questions: are there other updates for N5 and will Pokemon Black work on any of them?

Where did you read that? I'm sure you can't save on clones.
Have you read this?

Then you read wrong.

There was an attempt at getting Wood to work on clones, but it never worked.

To be honest that's probably what I read about. Still, can someone clarify if Pokemon Black will work on the N5?

You're probably not going to find too many N5 users, so you should just give it a go yourself.

After you get clean copies of the game (White CRC32: CAA820CB // Black CRC32: CA679BAF), you should go ahead and do the hex patch listed here: http://gbatemp.net/t255065-pokemon-black-a...t&p=3130648
If you don't know how to hex edit, or don't feel comfortable, I made a pair of patchers for the games.

Wrong. I have N5 and my rom works perfectly. I played for about an hour and a half the only problem is I freeze when I save but I think I new patched rom can fix that.
