So i just bought a flashcard that i can exchange in case it's screwed up. On one side, you have a old version of Dstt which is no longer sold and could be a fake one that can brick up my ds, however, despite the fact i cannot change the transcend micro sd, there is not a single slowdown to it.

On the other side, the N5 came with a 8gb that can be modified at will, except it's can take up to 15 seconds for loading a part of the game. I already updated the flashcard properly with the 1.32 version.

Now i am wondering if i should pick up the Dstt and get the 8gb on it despite the chance of seeing my DS brick. Is there any way i can make the N5 work without any slowdowns?

If you are referring to the DSTT update that bricks the fake cards and force you to buy a new one, that's only for the card itself. You are not going to brick the DS.

The N5, on the other hand... You're playing Russian roulette with your fuses.

I got the black card shown on the X. The 1gb of it can't be read on the computer using my adapter. The N5, however, can be completely changed. Is it because the card of the dstt hold some information specific to the software compare to the N5?

In the end, it's better to get the 8gb version to work with the dstt, right?
.

take the n5 and toss it out right now. the n5 msd slot draws to much power on boot up. you can, and probably will, blow a main mobo fuse at some point. this is well documented.

Ah, so that's why. I'll keep the dstt then. Is there a way to get my 8gb transcend flashcard to work with it or how can i change the 1gb so i can fetch games on the internet?

The dstt works just fine, i see no slowdown with the 1gb, but with the 8gb, it's takes a good three seconds to four for loading up. Will the 8gb screw my ds up or is it just something that don't really matter depending on what game it's hold?

the msd card will not screw up your ds. bad msd cards, cheap msd cards, clone msd cards, will simply corrupted and die. when that happens you replace them. they won't hurt the flash kit or the ds when they go. with that said, you shouldn't experience this, transcend is my #1 recommended brand for flash kits.

make sure you format it with the panasonic sd formatter, formatting with this tool will give you the best performance.

Both are transcend and while i did set the 1gb files into the 8gb, it's might be the fact the second one didn't get formatted. I'll give it a try. Also, what's the proper download for Dstt 1.17? I'd like to get the new firmware and maybe ysmenu to play a game that gives me -4 error

Me too I'd like to get the latest unofficial firmware for my original dstt. I had one in my micro sd but i needed to use it for other things and now i can't find the firmware i used in it.
