You can either downgrade (search forums for safesysupdater), or just use homebrew for emulators and homebrew games (search google for homebrew launcher, look at Smealum's site which should be in the top five results) or buy a Sky3DS+.

I managed to get the homwbrew launcher installed can't seem to get most of the things working though and have been looking at the different cards but was not sure which 1 was good to buy what is the best firmware to be on for cards and homwbrew did wonder if that's why I am having trouble with emus

downgrade your 3ds to 9.2 and the follow tutorial for emunand. Then do the steps for installing fbi over heath and safety. one thats done you can download cia of games and install them and play them as if you bought them on the eshop

As mentioned earlier, a Sky3DS+ card is just pop in and play for 3DS games. No need to worry about which firmware version your 3DS is running so no need to downgrade etc, works with brand new machines and so far as I know - all games. Downside? Well yeah it costs about £60 and there's a 10 day wait for delivery. Really want to spend hours getting back in the groove on a journey into pain? Not for me.

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware

I'd like to see a DS emulator that allows casting top screen to TV then use bottom for the touch screen stuff

I used a vertical touch 22" monitor for playing some 3DS games through Citra.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Can't be that far off from it not like ds requires super hardware
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
@K3Nv2 I did that using Citra for 3DS games. Bottom screen was my smartphone. Until I got the touch screen.
  • SwordShielder @ SwordShielder:
    Use a TV
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Citra allows it already?
  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
    Yes.

  • HiradeGirl @ HiradeGirl:
Any TV with your PC connected with Citra and any smartphone to use as a screen using a free play store app.
