Hacking N3DS - 9.2 to 9.5

Hi!

Since Hyrule Warriors Legends released, I was wondering, how updating from 9.2 to 9.5 would affect any of the stuff I got on my N3DS rxTools emuNand 9.2., because I intend to use my Amiibo.

Should I make backups of saves or something? Or is it just a "better" version wth more features and I don't need to worry at all.

If you're talking about updating your emuNAND from 9.2 to 9.5, I think the only change you'll really notice outside of "stability" is theme shuffling in the home menu. I wouldn't recommend updating your sysNAND and also ensuring your NAND's are un-linked.

They are unlinked, don't worry. Everything I do happens in emuNAND exclusivly.

So, I'll just lose my old friendlist, I take it?

If you do an update your Friend's list will stay in tact actually. I would not recommend updating from the cart as that will update your sysNAND if memory recalls correctly. I'd recommend downloading the 9.5 bundle and installing the titles through BBM. If you can't locate them I think I still have them, but for US system only.

Still wondering, why use BBM over sysUpdater.

Is it more safe that way?

I've never used sysUpdater, but I believe I updated my emuNAND from 9.2 to 9.5 through BBM title-by-title, and worked just fine. Any reason why not to just update to 10.4 emuNAND now though and enjoy not having to download cryptofixed games?

I'll wait, until rxtools 3 released. I am happy with MHX as of right now, so no need to have the newest games on day one.

I remember that happening to me as well, and it is okay to ignore. It just means the title likely already exists in 9.2 and won't install it since it's a matching version. You can just move onto the next CIA in the list, it might happen a few times. It only happened once for me but other guys mentioned it happening a few times through the process.

My heart semi-stopped, as I read this, but now everything worked out fine.
It says RX 9.5 (and more numbers).
