Hardware n2DS XL or n3DS XL for ds games?

Hi

I want either a n2ds XL or n3dS XL for playing ds games only and I have no interest in 3D aspect of 3DS games. The n2ds xL seems to be the better choice
for my needs as it is cheaper.

My question is really how ds games look on the screen of each console. Do they look better on n2ds xl or n3ds xl? If they look better on the n3ds XL I will go with that

Also are scanlines present in either of the consoles while playing ds games?

Depends on what LCD you get. TN or IPS. I know that 3DS can get both. Don't if 2ds can get both too. Otherwise, it is totally the same experience.
Scanlines are nonexistent, but 3DS has 800*240 LCD. When 3D is off, half of the horizontal pixels are turned off. Thus you get "black vertical lines". It is kinda hard to notice and explain. Just google it.
