Hardware My wii keeps clicking like crazy!

If my wii has a disc in it, it keeps clicking like crazy during gameplay.
And it's pretty annoying too. Loud clicking noises.
I had it's disc drive replaced for unrelated reasons, but it keeps clicking.
I have a modchip. Is there anything I can do, or is it an indication that something's wrong?

I've noticed mine does that when playing Monster Hunter Tri.

How can you have a disc in your Wii if you had it's disc drive removed?

I meant to say replaced, don't know why I said removed.

All I know is that when my Wii's DVD drive started clicking, I had to replace it.

What type of discs are you using to burn your games to?

Standart DVD's.
It happens with all sorts of dvd's.

I believe it´s the laser that´s moving to read the disc. I don´t know if it is a bad thing. Mine´s been doing it since the Wii came out, as far as I can remember.

the loud clicking noise is not normal.. it's a sign of a bad lens or dying lens..

I have change mine 2 times since 2006..

no lound sounds should be normal

huh well i remember when i first got brawl (wii was not modded at the time) it always did that, but that was really the only game, everybody told me it was normal and i haven't had any problems, although now i use a usb loader.
