Mine didn't appear to be springloaded either...got it last weekend.

(although as a Cyclo owner i'm happier this way...)

Double check if the MicroSD slot was shipped in the 'locked' position. Insert the MicroSD card and push down hard on it.

OK...now it appears to be springloaded....

I would rather not, because it feels like it'll break every time it goes in. A side loader would be cooler, that way it can't fall out, and it could be without the spring loading.

oh well. Dstwo is still awesome.

Just use your fingernail to push the Card down and it should click, hence the spring now works.
It's basically the way to turn it off and on lol.

Also after receiving this advice I found out my Acekard was also Spring loaded, I just hadn't been using it.

A microSD can't just 'fall out' of a flashcard. It's stuck in there, and even if you shake the DS upside down, nothing will happen.

Who plays DS in public?

lol, I do, just wondering if other people do, and then get told "Hey! that's a flashcart!"

No one I know even know about flashcarts. I found out through my stepbrother, and I wouldn't have ever known without him.

Yeah, but then there are gaming events, like DQIX. You have the rep there with several fans who dished out the money. One look at you would return many unsatisfactory reactions.

Side loader removes that fear.

when I got my first DSTWO the spring didn't work either.
I thought it was broken, but than maybe it was a new design change where they got rid of the spring load thingy, well the next day I push it don't hard to make sure the micro sd made contact and it just clicked...so I think, when shoptemp tested it they might have just pulled out the micro sd card and the spring stayed in the loaded position..so it's working fine now
