Right so well a few months ago when I was moving my DSLite around, I heard a little crack. I looked all around the DS to find out what happened, and found a crack on the right side of where the top and bottom screen meet. My brother's DS broke at around the same place. My DS is still intact because I put a transparent case on it to stop it from fully breaking.

I might post some photos of the crack later. Anyway what should I do?

Thanks in advance.

Is it on the screen or the case?
I'm assuming you mean the crack. It's on the hinge of my DSLite, not the case.
Yes, that can be replaced, but it might take an hour or two.

You can find some really nice tutorials on Youtube, or even in our reviews section on GBATemp.

^ Yes, and I'm sure if you ask around, you can get it fixed - maybe even for free. At least your DSLite doesn't look like this.

This may be one of those inevitable problems. I've had my DS Lite since 2006 and not a hairline crack even, doesn't mean it's not going to crack (may be a matter of time). I think the best solution is to wait for the 3DS and buy one of those. As long as the material looks as good as seen on the prototypes and features the same hinge design the hinge will last for decades.

Happened to me too - too lazy to get it fixed so I used duct Scotch? tape. Srsly.

I hope you enjoyed my sexy left hand. More where that came from

- one more hand, in fact.

I'm very happy it doesn't look like that.

This is the first solution I thought of before I posted this topic. Anyway I think that is about the best solution.
