Hello, i got a new battery for my old 3ds since my 3ds battery was bloated and it didnt even last 1 hour. However the new battery doesn't work, it just doesnt detect it or it might be completely broken, when i put the battery in it shows yellow light for 5 seconds and then doesnt (same reaction as no battery). Has this happened to anybody else, if so what is the solution, sorry if this is a question with a obvious answer.

Sadly no, it's not an OEM battery. I got it from a trust-worthy seller in Turkey that sells Nintendo stuff, he sent me another one aswell (same battery) and its giving the same results. I found the battery on aliexpress after i typed M1GW051 on google.

I found one in turkey but it was 1200 liras (35 dollars) and i think that was sold to someone already because i cant find it anymore. Does anyone know how could these batteries be fixed someway or another?

It's "battery rejection" trolling you 99% of the time.

Clean the contact of the middle battery pin and battery terminal.
Do not use liquids on the battery though! Just scrape the middle pin without shorting it anywhere else.

You can trick battery rejection by shorting the middle pin to the negative pin, but DO NOT DO THIS. You MUST isolate the middle pin *on the battery*, so its center pin no longer touches anything. Short the middle pin to the negative pin *on the 3DS* only.

I'm not very good with technical words, what do you mean by "shorting the middle pin to the negative pin". Can you show me a demonstration?

Ah.

The battery (at least the OEM one) has (+) and (-) printed on it, and the pin between those is the "center".
When you insert the OEM battery, (+) will touch positive on the 3DS, and (-) will touch negative.

I hope that helps!

I might have misunderstood this but, what does this have to do with the new battery i bought?

It may have invalid center pin, and the 3DS rejects it.
The connection between the center pin and 3DS might be broken too.

3DS needs a valid center pin, otherwise it rejects the battery (behaves like no battery inserted).

Watched a yt video and this makes sense now. He said "If you get a new battery on any kind of device and it doesnt work right out of the bat, its dead, its probably a battery that was sitting for a long time at a warehouse." The seller was kind enough to send me my money back though.
