Finally got this thing up and running the way i like and i thought i'd share a few pics, its 720p resolution on a 36" hd tv in my living room.

The main screen when i turn it on

Movie scrolling view, get a different image for every movie

Same with TV shows images are auto grabbed from the net

Applications page, this is where games go, just need a bigger hard drive for more than one game at a time

I need to start playing with some more skins if they are going to be like that one- I am still on the blades 360 a like one.

XBMC started out on the original xbox and while the project has somewhat left it for the PC there are still updates. You only need a modded xbox (quite easy to do and several equally viable methods to do so)

Either way it has an incredible skinning engine (not your typical couple of pictures to stick under text job):

I will note that many skins these days require the above SD resolutions (which the original xbox is capable of kicking out if you have the cables- http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/xbox.htm or you can buy them)
