Hacking My HDD will not be recognized!

I just got a 120 GB Portable Hard Drive from a company called KESU. I went ahead and installed a few games onto it. (Taiko No Tatsujin 5, Super Mario Galaxy, etc.) I used WBFS manager, and my Wii U will not recognized it! Yes, I used the back USB ports, as well with the front. I do not know what to do. can someone help me? thanks.

well the wiiu had to format the drive before it can be used and also the usb ports on the wiiu output barely any power might need to use a USB Y Cable

basically if the wiiu doesnt even notice the drive connected no error message or anything then the drive is not getting enough power
