It's not that hard to find, you just have to know where to look.

Well normally I have absolutely no trouble tracking things down, but no luck. Unless I can somehow find it on all these chinese sites I get through google. I mean I found a detailed guide on using it but there was no link to the program.

Oh, is this it? NDS_Rom_Dumper_1.1-SMT.zip

Guess not, md5 and filesize are way off. It came with dumper.exe and dumper.nds.gba

Well it seemed to dump fine but when I went to write the rom back using the manager, the manager crashed right after I chose the patch options and told it to go ahead and write. I hope it didnt mess up my cart. I chose only dofat, no other patching options. Looking at the cart it was only able to write the icon file and that's it. Hmmmm.

Happened again on the second try. Tried using soft reset/dofat/trim this time.

Same results with 'normal' and 'safe mode' It writes an icon file and then crashes. How disappointing.

The dumper I used was either linked on *these* forums, possibly in the M3 section (?), or on Maxconsole.net in the G6 or M3 forums.

The file name was DUMPER.RAR

and it extracts to dumper.nds

BTW The dumper was a dumper for the M3, I think. (which works on the G6).

That all applies to the one I downloaded. One thing is that in the text file it says:

1. Run "Dumper.nds" in M3.
2. Press "select" button
3. Follow the message form the screen until finish.
4. It is necessary to 1. Run "Dumper.nds" in M3.
2. Press "select" button
3. Follow the message form the screen until finish.
4. It is necessary to remove the NDS game card and re-insert the game card into NDS card slot directly. (It is valid for flashme or passme.)
5. A ".NDS" data will be created under the directory of "CleanRomDump". into NDS card slot directly. (It is valid for flashme or passme.)
5. A ".NDS" data will be created under the directory of "CleanRomDump".

Well after it finished dumping the game it told me "remove the NDS game card and re-insert the game card" so first I tried removing the game (Meteos) and re-inserting it which didn't work so then I put my Passcard 3 back in and then it was satisfied. I wonder if that's a problem.

I have the same issue with Mario kart and Brain training.
I have to put back my passcard3 in order to complete the dump.
If I don't do so I have the following message : "This is not same DS card"
But the size of the file is always 16Mo and the dump doesn't work (I use the G6 Manager to put the game on the G6 lite)

that's because your ds lite must be flashme'd in order to successfully dump a title using dumper.nds

the software has you eject and then re-insert your original title as a check to load in the title's RSA code from the cart, and with a passcard device, it's looking for the passcard's RSA (and not the title you're attempting to dump). I had the same problems and finally bit the bullet and flashed my older phat ds to dump successfully.

I have never had corruption and only load my roms one way as described above....not sure if taking the cart of the burner while hooked up = corruption. Don't really feel like trying to create the error. My guess is seriously that people are disconnecting while the lights is blinking

I've always done it like you do and my card always gets corrupted. In fact, a lot of people who are experiencing corruption are very careful as well. I really think some G6L have a more serious problem.

My cart is so f***ed up that if I unplug it, then plug it right after, it can get corrupt

I'm not sure if I really want to flash my DS.
Thanks for this very clear explanation.
