I happen to found a solution which fixed my L trigger.
I think that this problem occur is because the triggers are dirty
therefore the ds wouldnt respond to them when you press them.
So what I did to resolve this was just pour some water on your trigger from your tap(small tap) for 1sec not too much!
and than wipe off the water.
This may not work but it worked for me.

Pouring water on electronic devices is generally not such a hot idea.

Apart from the obvious problem that the electronics may get wet, the spring that push up the buttons is made of metal, and when metal get wet they tend to rust, and when metal rust they tend to break. Also, tap water leaves deposit when it dries, which is even harder to clean than dirt.

Just open it up and clean it. Much better solution in the long run.

Haha, water will like kill your DS even you pour too much.

Like most of the times the problem is dust, so just open up your DS and clean out the dust.

Haha everyone knows that water and electronics don't mix. Now you're screwed. Like my A button won't react sometimes, but it's not because I dumped water all over it. It's just worn out I guess.

Better yet, if your Nintendo DS is still on warranty, ask for a replacement.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
BakerMan @ BakerMan: idk how hot of a take this is, but science as a subject sucks
