Hacking My crappy NDS

OK, I think I have a very crappy NDS that is still working!
The things that don't work anymore:
Left button
Sound
Top screen is ****ed up (I have no idea what to do in certain games, It's flickering blue, red, green, purple, white, sometimes just white with some black blur.)
Shell is bend in some way, so the Power switch gets stuck and the DS will shutdown if I don't put it back.

That's about it, I don't think repairing will work, cuz I think I'll be better off with a new one.
Should I believe the rumours about the new NDS and wait for April? Or somewhere in 2009?

Sell it for parts, and buy a DS Lite. With the success Nintendo is having with this handheld, they won't be releasing another one for at least a year. Why would they?

Somebody here would definitely pay shipping to have it or even buy it for ten bucks or so.
Or you could sell it on eBay. Just be sure to say how shitty and broken it is in the description.
