My ACT is next week. Can I get advice on how to prepare

I got an ACT in one week, and it's my last chance to take it. I got a 20 the first time and did some mad studying on it like a week before. Now, the final one is in one week away for me, can I get advice on how to score very well on it?

Your whole high school career is basically studying for these tests... not really something you can cram in a week. And 20 isn't that bad, its about the national average

read and understand, then writte what you understood, that helps memorizing things, read again to be sure what you wrote is accurate, that's what I used to do bakc when I was on school...!!

Check your library for a study guide. Should have some practice tests in it also, goodluck.

Eliminate wrong answers quickly if you can, and if you can't just circle the question, move on to another, don't waste time just sitting there trying to think, just go back after you've had some successes. I start at the ends of tests, and got a 29.

MAJOR TIP... If you have to take a guess because you have like 5mins left, choose ONE LETTER and just bubble all those...

You will have more chance of getting more right answrs than randomly choosing

Try taking a crap load of practice tests. It will prepare you.
Take a test like every week or so, use the resources on the ACT website.
Buy one of those thick books, and practice, practice, practice.

It also wouldn't hurt to try expanding your vocabulary. I recommend the "Verbal Advantage" CDs, they helped me out a ton.

It's the week before the test, since I'm taking it this Saturday too, one last chance. Last time I studied a month before the exam and I got a good score. Best advice is to relax. Most of the stuff you have probably learned during you time going through K-12. THis is my last chance and don't panic.

Edit: If I got a 30 is that good?

there's a log......OFF..? but why?

get sleep in a 1+1/2 hour interval, either 6 hours, or 7.5, or 9, the night before.

anything above 24 is "Good" anything above 28 is "really good" anything above 31 is "beastly"
