also, the *POC* souund means there is a ribbon cable loose, i remeber when i got a new semi broken mobo for my 3ds i had to completely disasemble/reasemble the whole thing 6 times to get it to work
wel i'm sure I didi it more than 60 times (k, somethimg around it) with each cable .A.
I saw a video saying that it need to be very firmly but I don't see what I'm doing wrong ... or if all ,my cables are bad buta s I said I think the one that come with the console looks good actually

still not interested in sellign it?

I know this is kind of a useless suggestion, since it requires throwing even more money at the problem, but what I would do at this point (since you've already checked the usual culprits) would be to take a known good working 3DS console, remove the motherboard, and then swap this motherboard into the housing. If the board still didn't work at that point, then I could be pretty sure the board was bad and I'd probably give up on it. But if it did work in a different set of housing, then maybe I'd try some other speaker cables, since it's always possible that the replacement one you bought was actually bad to begin with.

I see that you changed the speaker cable but will give my input on what happened to me when fooling around on a 3ds xl. I had the same thing happened of the pop sound with the bottom screen flashing and then goes off. It turned out to the the 2 connectors on the side of the top screen. Those were the only cables I did not keep re-checking and once I re-seated those it worked as new.

So maybe it is not seated right or possibly those clips are damaged. Don't know to what extent you checked it but might be worth a try.

well, i actually do have the o3ds crystal white top part(with bottom inside shell, where the abxy buttons etc. come out) with screen and speakers etc. intact. i'm not sure how my parents would react to this if i were to sell it (i'm only 14)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

i can take a picture later when i get home if you want

well, importing one would be a problem for me :B I's rater import an working one xD

Well.. I noticed something that seens bad :v
I mean .. there are small marks near the P7 connector, on it trails, I cant say if it's is deep or not to have any effect , but I'm afraid...
p7.png
Dont look much deep, see only a small " trace" , not the copper or the board color :/
not having tools to test it sucks xp
could be that ?

edit :
We can't see well on the photo, but was the best I got here....

Do you mean these little marks?

I can't be sure, but those marks don't look like they would cause a problem. The traces don't look broken, but if there is corrosion on the metal contacts inside the connector itself, then that could possibly be the cause of your problem.

yes these
well the photo wasn't very good but you know, this par is very small, I have a camera not a microscope xD don't look it have corrosion , and I cleaned with the contact cleaner thing.. remember, the problem I got by a fall, and once opened, when I wasn't messing with it I let in a cardboard box, I don't think enough humidity could have get there õ3o and no other liquids got in contact to the board , only the contacts cleaner

Okay guys, one lats update? Here the news about my 3DS
I got borrowed a 3DS from a friend to use to find out whats wrong here with mine, well in shot, I tried my my 3DS board + his top (screen, kibbon and speakers) and do not worked... I got the same "pop" and turn off :c

One thing is that looks like with my board the POP is louder and the screen flash stronger ? when I was testing the screen with his boards, the pop was weak and not sure if had screen blink

I also tested my screens, the old one, that I can't make it alive and the newer one I bought other time, and it worked !
I tried to make the new ribbon work but I can't :B strange that I checked with a Multimeter and looks that all contacts where all right.

So I think the problem is my 3DS board, I tried to fix on the "oven" (where I work there are a microwave shell with 2 light bulb, that sometimes that we can't make motherboards work properly, we clean them and let there inside for some days XD and some times it work :v ), but I tried again and nothing new

I think what is broken is that sound ribbon connection someway since it still make the noise, this mean that some energy pass there, right? and I'm almost sure I can't fix that, too small and I cant be 100% sure whats wrong :B

Any hope yet ?
