Nintendo typically charges $100+ for an extensive repair like that. For that price at Target you can get a brand new one. I

or you could by a replacement touchscreen from ebay for £2.50 ~ £5.00 and replace it yourself and save even more

This. N3DS/O3DS/2DS parts are everywhere there! It's pretty much just connected with ribbon cables and tape, just be careful, obviously. Or if you personally know someone that's experienced, have them do it.

Technically, there's one screen in the 2DS, so no, you have to replace the whole screen. They average $35 on ebay. Nintendo would surely charge more to fix it. $35 about a 1/3 the price of a new 2DS, though.

that is not completely true whilst the LCD is all on screen the actual digitiser (touchscreen) is a seperate layer the
same as in all nintendo DS consoles and is completely possible to be replaced just by itself

the OP says he's cracked the touchscreen not the LCD

Is it just the part that covers the screen as in the digitizer, or is it the screen itself that's cracked? Can we see a picture of it?

Take it apart. It looks more like the digitizer as there is no LDC bleed. You can separate the digitizer from the screen when you disassemble it.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
