Yes it does, go into menu itself, without anything showing just loop.avi or whilst in a movie etc, press + or -

I am lovin' the improvements in 0.21e!

Files that I was only able to play with GeeXboX are now working with this release & SMB connections seem smoother. You guys are doing an excellent job with this.

Which files seem to play?
Also yeah their have been SMB improvements and debugging messages added like reconnect etc.

All well?

djdynamite's thumbs seen to have made their way into the package again, he made sure it wont show up, stupid XP at times. I believe it's google code adding it somehow, Anyway here's the Changelog.

CODEv0.21e
Fixed apostrophies in filenames
Improved DVD and USB mounting devices
Fixed radio
Improved samba reconnection
Debugging help for SMB Shares at bootup, debug_network=yes (Review mplayer.conf)

Well, it was just a few XVID or DIVX files that, for some reason, would just freeze when I tried playing them with any previous version of MPlayer. I can always use a program like GSpot to give you more codec info if you wanted, but before this release, I was only able to get them to play in GeeXboX.

Few things...

What are the long term goals of this project? Do you have any plans for some kind of a media library?
About the To do list, two things popped on my mind:
For the GUI redesign, Blue-K's pictures look so familiar I could swear they are copyrighted by Apple... Blue-K, I know you can do better than that.
Also, does ID3 tag support mean support for embedded cover art?

Really appreciating your work on this

It's finaly done!!! A complete set for MPlayer-CE:

Homebrewchannel:

Loop.avi:

Banner:

Channel 1:

Channel 2:

Notes:

-Channel is V0.21, Title-ID is MPCE, Blocks 51
-WADder compressed the Images a little bit too much, so it looks a little worser than here...
-loop.avi gives me a weird menuscreen, so I don't work...

Feel free to use this Images to make a working loop.avi, or a HQ-Channel

. Use as much as you want, but give Credit!!!

Download

This is an awesome channel, but i have a question:
is this a forwarder channel so that when I update the mplayer_ce on the sd card, I don't have to update this channel?

i want to know this too

thnx

i got smb to work today. but during watching a movie with my girlfriend to night it got stuck several times, the movie began to stutter and stopped for a couple of seconds and the sound desynced.

i tried several differnt movies and had the same probs. can i increase the cache in some way?

€dit: i increased the cachesize to 16384kB and will try it again tomorrow. btw what's the max cachesize on a wii.

I never was able to read any dvd using dvdx, mplayer ce or the dvd edition !
wrong dvdx installation perhaps, and if your modded you require patchmii core.

BlueK's possible GUI is probably the hardest area to hack in the menu.

Screemer Is your wifi connection stable? the cachesize already in mplayer.conf is sufficient.
It's down to your wifi connection or the video files your trying to stream.

lurban (Ludovic Urban) has found the error on samba in libogc in smb.c
so in the next version samba is going to work without broken connections NAS & LINUX
when it's fixed then it's not needed add keepalive=0
in windows the keepalive packet is send each 1hr

If people seem to have issues with SMB. HERE'S THE REASON
sometime I get 600 kb/s
and other times I get 350kb/s (therefore may have syncing issues at times)
wifi on wii sucks....so make sure your wifi connection is stable.

ok i tested usb playback (i think this is the most important way of playing movies on this player) with 20 movies (axxo, diamond...rips). from this 20 i can only play 5. and from this 5, three of them are stopping after 10-20 minutes of playback

I don't think I need patchmii core since dvdx now supports f/w 3.4 ... Anything else I am missing ?!?! Beside, I am using a softmod ... How do I install dvdx properly then ?!?!

I said if you modded you require patchmii, if your modded and on 3.4 DVDX wont work without patchmii core.
NOT MODDED? then you only require any DVDX installation.
So it's not working, that's strange, have you tried a Data DVDor original DVD?
