Has anyone had issues with audio files? like freezing the menu etc....
sorry about this, but add this line in your mplayer.conf
bgvideo=sd:/apps/mplayer_ce/loop.avi

your config, should look similar to this.....

Just asking, what's the point of using loop.avi for a static image? Wouldn't it be easier for everyone to customize Mplayer ce if it would be .png for example?

If it was just a image, then you wouldn't have a nice effect like some are roaming about

But if your wanting to use a static image. Use virtualdub, Ctl F, add logo, select image, ok, select video compression, xvid mpeg 4 codec, then save as loop.avi
You can use a small movie if you wanted...their are sites with mov small effect backgrounds, you can convert them to avi with RAD Video tools.

-WADder compressed the Images a little bit too much, so it looks a little worser than here...
-loop.avi gives me a weird menuscreen, so I don't work...

Feel free to use this Images to make a working loop.avi, or a HQ-Channel

That happens cause of a bad loop.avi.
In the past I had the same problem. You have to use another program to create that loop.avi

i want to know if anyone else besides me see that they can't watch their burned DVDs on this.ok i know my bootleg movies work perfect but my movies i downloaded online that are .flv don't work they only work through my sd card.but still this is the best mplayer that i've used.

the .flv movies i'm talking about are mirrors,friday the the 13th,and a few more.just edited so everyone could know their actual movies.

Ok, thanks, I'll try it.
And yes, I posted about it on the google code page and it was fixed in 0.2. Works great now, definitely the best media player for the wii

Here's a new one.

I've got two systems. With SMB shares on each one.

The SMB shares on the desktop work fine (shares 1 and 2)

The SMB shares on the laptop won't work (shows the SD Card) (share 3)
The only thing that I can think of is that it sometimes takes an extra second or two, so the app might be timing out before it can get the SMB info.

Thoughts?

Also, what about playing a full directory of audio files or building a playlist.

And I see that the looping thing has been mentioned, but that would be a great fix.

Other than that, SUPER APP!

hi.

i took Blue-K screenshot of the loop.avi and created a own loop.avi with is displayed perfectly on my PAL TV (4:3 ratio) but is 112 KB instead of 5 MB. This should save some space on your SD card

Aehmm...have you checked the Page 10 of this Thread? I made a Complete Set...Post is here, it includes a Channel, a loop.avi (Fixed version a few posts down) and a HBC-Icon.

I noticed now, when I try to play an AVI file that didnt work in previous versions of MPlayer, that instead of just staying frozen it reverts back to the Homebrew Channel. I guess this is better than having to get up and hold the power button on my Wii, so kudos for that.

It would be nice for the loop.avi to not stutter while playing mp3s, but they still play fine. If its possible, are there any plans to actually display current audio track info while playing mp3s? (Artist, song title, etc.)

Yup. There are no spaces in the share, and it's set up properly. I'm trying everything I can think of. It looks like the app isn't even trying to connect. When I connect to the shares that ARE working properly there's a little pause before it displays the contents. On the laptop share it just goes directly into the SD card.
