how can i decrease the font size? it is way too huge for my tv...

thanks a lot

Go to your mplayer.conf file and edit subfont-osd-scale=6
any number higher then 6 will increase the font size anything lower will decrease it

Users with system menu 3.4 or higher will not be able to use USB2.0 with
MPlayerCE because the DVDx installer for 3.4 does not have an advanced mode.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it.

So not so good for those who upgraded to 4.0!

paul

If you updated to 4.0 via Waninkoko's updater, this does not apply. You can still use the 3.2 dvdx installer with advanced options. I believe that is also the case if you update via Nintendo and then downgrade your IOSes, but I'm not sure about that.

Do anyone have a actual wad for this? Not a forwarder. I swear im like the only one that hasn't jumped of the usb thing. I really need to get me a harddrive.

Installed Hermes' USB2 CIOS on 202, DVDx on 202.
Code dumps ( DSI exception ) on startup.
Uninstalled DVDx, works again.

On a 3.2E with a USB LAN adapter connected. Guess it still doesn't support it.

edit : a smull bug : first directory (alpha sorted) in a SMB share is not displayed. Did happen on SMB 4, didn't bother and try on other slots.
Hope devs read it, seems like an start index issue (0-1)

For the fonts, change in mplayer.conf :

Code:
subfont-osd-scale=6ÂÂ//Menu font
subfont-text-scale=5 //Subtitle font

to

Code:
subfont-osd-scale=3
subfont-text-scale=3

what if we installed dvdx when on 3.2 then updated to 4.0? I read somewhere that is the only way to retain dvdx

I've reinstalled the 3.2 version on my 4.0 wii without problem and setted to work with IOS 202.
I've run IOS downgrader after upgrading to 4.0...

As a note, now Mplayer read all of my usb key, where the 0.5 didn't.

You can install dvdx on 4.0 with the bootmii installer.

I installed DVDX with bootmii and still I not get DVD drive support, I think it needs to be installed to 202, advanced setting.

dvdx at ios202 is JUST so you can use usb2, so using dvdx at default IOS36 WORKS!
if you can't get it to work, then you have broken something, we have no idea.

Not sure why but dvdx on hackmii installer doesn't support dvd playback. dvdx + Patchmii_core installed with ios254 in Advanced mode (not PatchMii) seems to only work.

Correct me if I'm doing something wrong.
