since i had no idea What was the issue w/ my other system , burnt a chunk of svaings i had for a Quest2 on a new hackable unit, how can i adapt the emummc to the new unit? i can still atm boot hekate enough to dump anything i'd need

I'm not sure you can really, since the nand is per-console encrypted. It's prob better to retrieve your saves and anything else you want from the old system and just add them to the new system using Checkpoint and the like. Could be wrong though

atm im not sure how to extract them from my backup, the what *Seems* as a "Dead" switch will only go as far as Hekate, Atmosphere is unable to init the SDCard at all. (its not the card nor the reader module)

its likely the connector on the board itself if you have guaranteed that its not the reader. I'm not sure how you would get the files out of the save archives, maybe hactool?

emummc or emunand are the same just different names only. remake a new emunand in your new unit because it use another biskey to decipher sysnand or emunand on console.
i suggest you can checkpoint to export all game saves in old console and copy them to the new one.

the emunand is similar to the sysnand backup when you backup rawfullnand in sxos. they can mutul converted, but emunand could be changed or dirtied after you launch it.

How do you know its not the SD card or the reader?

as the SD Card checked out fine in other devices and passed h2testw, and i replaced the SD Reader Module , i have since replaced the switch itself (but not sold it yet), and might sell it for parts,
